1)    You might want to display speed and altitude.
       --Go to Options – Settings – Navigation – “show altitude and speed”
2)    You might want to change the route profile in order to calculate the best route possible. For most routes in a metro region, the “optimum” setting provides the best results.  “Fast” may give better results for cross-country or long-distance routes.
